All of the company’s models are easy to set up and come with a user guide. In addition, the La Crosse View app lets you customize portions of the app to enhance your user experience including locations and devices. You can even share your data with friends and family.
The old WS-2316U and WS-2317U were relatively inexpensive, computer compatible fully functional weather stations. While these may still be able to be found at lower prices, La Crosse has improved the reliability of their top of line weather centers over the last few years and now offer some reasonably priced models which represent a very good value.
One of the most interesting and attractive new developments with this brand is their newest wireless weather station, which can be used as either a standalone unit or with the free La Crosse View App to add enhanced functionality. This state-of-the-art device monitors outdoor and indoor temperature, humidity, wind direction and speed, as well as rain and barometric pressure. It also features a large LCD color display and can be connected to an external sensor for added monitoring capability.
While the WS-8035U-IT-SAL is not as feature rich as a Davis Vantage Pro 2, it’s still a worthwhile investment and should provide you with years of reliable service. It monitors outdoor temperature and wind, while also displaying your local time and date, and a barometer. It can also display up to two additional Breeze Pro Sensors for even more detailed information.
The La Crosse weather center has an attractive design and comes with a user manual, USB cable and mounting kit. It can be wall mounted or placed on a table or desk. It displays current weather conditions on the screen, as well as a forecast for the next 12 hours. It can also show you a daily high and low for temperature, as well as the maximum and minimum barometric pressure. The unit is powered by AA batteries and has a battery icon for when it’s time to change them. The program menu allows you to choose between 12-hour or 24-hour format for your clock. You can also set the day of the week. It is important to note that the display can be a little slow to update.
