Lacrosse Explained
Lacrosse explained is a great book for kids to learn about the sport they are already playing. This book explains different Lacrosse Positions, how the offensive and defensive units work, and even gives you the statistics for past players of lacrosse that you can look at to see what you are doing right or wrong. Lacrosse is a team sport and there is always a balance of 5 on 5 fights when two or more players fight. That is why it is important to stick with your teammates and play together to stay on the right track.
The offensive and defensive positions are usually run by the forwards and backs on the lacrosse field. The goalie is in the back position and protects the goal. Lacrosse has a very high-level of skill and strategy that are needed in order to be a good lacrosse player. Every lacrosse player should have good vision and be able to use their eyes, hands, and feet to keep the ball from going where it is not supposed to go. Lacrosse players also need to be able to jump and get around on their feet. They should be able to block shots, throw passes, and be able to get the ball back to the defense so other lacrosse players can get the ball.
One cool aspect of lacrosse is that players have to wear protective jerseys when playing. The jerseys protect players from balls and pucks that might hurt them. The fouls that are given to lacrosse players are called “rants”, and they range from warnings to disqualifications. Lacrosse is an exciting sport with lots of skill needed.
