Lacrosse Leagues
There are lacrosse leagues throughout the United States, Canada, and other English-speaking countries. Typically, there are 3 pro lacrosse leagues (Premier Lacrosse League (PHL), National Lacrosse League (NLL), and Women s Professional Lacrosse League (WPL). Each of these lacrosse leagues has their own background, which will definitely be discussed below.
First, we will start with the Premier Lacrosse League or the National Lacrosse League. This league is recognized as the official National Lacrosse League of America, and is the most competitive lacrosse league in the United States. The National Lacrosse League boasts teams from the Eastern and Western Conferences. Most of the time the top teams in the league get invited to participate in the IIHF World Games, which is an international tournament that features the best lacrosse players in the world.
The National Lacrosse League boasts teams from the very elite of high school programs. The reason for this is because many of the top high school programs actually have lacrosse leagues within the schools. Most of the time the tournaments and games are inter-collegiate in nature, however, this does not mean that the players on these teams are not good. On the contrary, it is really the skill of the players that makes the difference in the outcome of the game.
As you move forward from the National Lacrosse League, you will find that you will have multiple pro lacrosse leagues to choose from. These pro lacrosse leagues cater to the very elite of high school athletes. These players usually come from very good programs, and often have been playing for years. These players are the best of the best when it comes to their skills, strength, and overall game-selves. If you truly want to be a part of the premier lacrosse league in your area, I recommend seriously considering signing up for a pro lacrosse league team.
In addition to the above, there are a variety of different lacrosse leagues to choose from. Some lacrosse leagues are recreational, while others are very competitive. There are also indoor and outdoor lacrosse leagues, as well as different age groups for players. Some of the top lacrosse leagues consist of several teams at once, where each team competes against other teams in a variety of tournaments and competitions.
All-star lacrosse leagues are great for players who are interested in becoming part of the National Lacrosse League or other competitive lacrosse leagues in their area. There are also youth lacrosse leagues for kids 7 and younger. These leagues can be a great way for kids to get in some good lacrosse action without the risk of injury.
